Damon Morris
10/10/1995-08/05/2010

It is with great sadness and grief that we announce the loss of one of our own. Damon was a friend and teammate. He played on Neil Robert's U14B Red team last season. He had a passion and love for the game of soccer and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Marisa, and his younger sister Devin.

State Champions - U15 Boys - Sunday, May 09, 2010

The U15 Boys coached by Scott Moniz and Kelvin Jones won the U15 Boys Florida State Cup Championship 2-1 over the Kendall Soccer Coalition. The game was back and forth as both teams were exhausted after going into over-time the day before to get to the Championship match. The game was tied 1-1 at half as Greg Balsamello put HCU on the scoresheet. Mike Bajza scored what proved to be the game winner when his half volley from 25 yards out was too much for the GK to handle and trickled into the net to give HCU a 2-1 victory. The rest of the game saw chances from both sides, but GK Loren Whitaker was solid in net to preserve the victory. Kendall had one last chance as they sent their entire team on a free kick, but Andrew Brody headed the shot off the goal line that looked like it was headed in the top corner. The whistle blew and the sideline erupted as the team will be heading to Louisiana for Southern Regionals in June. Congratulations and Good Luck!
